NTFS04C Installation Instructions 2004 & UP

1. Open tailgate and remove access panel on inside of tailgate (Torx Screws, T-30)
2. Remove left side nut that holds the door handle to the tailgate.
3. Release left side locking rod by unlatching the plastic retainer.
4. Insert the short wire harness with the 2 bullet plugs into the drain hole at the bottom of the tailgate. The end with the waterproof connector should run behind the bumper and under the truck. Push the 2 bullet connectors into the handle area.
5. Insert the DynoLock bracket into the inside of the tail gate from the left side.
6. Place the predrilled 1/4' hole in the DynoLock bracket over the threaded door lock handle stud. Replace the nut but do not tighten yet.
7. Align the bracket so that the locking pin, when extended is best positioned to prevent the plastic arm from moving up when the handle is pulled.
8. Now tighten nut. Connect wires from the harness to the solenoid. Reconnect threaded lock rod.
9. Install self tap screw in tab with 1/8” hole. This prevents the bracket from vibrating loose.
10. Connect the long harness to the short harness installed in the tailgate by pressing the 2 pin waterproof connectors together.
11. Run the harness under the vehicle as close to the driver's side trim plate as possible. Use the tie wraps to secure the harness to the frame. Be sure to avoid moving or hot parts under the vehicle, ie shocks, springs or muffler parts.
12. Remove the driver's side trim plate and drill a 1/2' hole in the floor under the driver's side door trim plate and insert the enclosed grommet. Run the harness thru the grommet.
13. Remove the left side kick panel and locate the Green / Red (Unlock) and the Brown (Lock) wires. These wires are found at the Smart Entry Module in a 14 pin connector. Unlock is in pin 5 and Lock is in pin 6
14. Attach the 2 blue wire taps to each wire. Wrap the blue wire taps around each wire and squeeze close with pliers. Push the 2 Pink male spade connectors attached to the end of the harness into the blue taps.
15. Lock the doors using the driver's side door lock switch. If the tailgate locks and the doors unlock at the same time, reverse the wires.
16. Replace the trim plate and kick panel and the installation is complete.
